Nigger, please.

Michael Che

I’m sorry, but this is a non-issue. This is a word that is ALWAYS going to lead to discrimination issues. Big deal. There are too many people out there who use this word as part of their daily vocabulary, many of them Black. Usually, it is only offensive if a white person uses it. Micahel Che simply made an off-handed comment that–to be honest, I had to watch the video three times to catch–and the same phrase has probably been used by millions of others, and will continue to be in the future. There was no derogatory intent, as far as I can tell. The people complaining are the ones who have no time for keeping their own business in order because they are too busy trying to control other people’s business. I don’t think anything else even needs to be said on the matter, but I’m sure they won’t ask me. 🙂

SNL would be crazy to let this guy go for something so ridiculous as this. Che is a breath of fresh air on a show that I feel has lost momentum continuously over the last several decades.

Getting back to the issue at hand.

The word itself was made derogatory by the whites. Over the course of history it has been subject to devolvement (is that a word?) In all its originality it simply means black. Period. People should really learn about the meaning and etymology of words before using them or complaining about them. Just because “someone” said it is a bad word, does not make it fact, simply a matter of the lemming effect. Somebody hundreds of years ago used it with contempt in their voice, the other contemptuous bastards thought it sounded good, and it made them feel powerful, so they all began to use it. The slaves, seeing as how they were the ones the slurs were directed to, simply lowered their heads and did as they were told. Had there not been whips and hangings involved, I’m pretty sure those Blacks would have stood up for themselves. But we all know how that went, so the word, a seemingly innoccuous word, became one of the most controversial words in the history of the English language, which I find hysterical because it’s a Latin word to begin with. At any rate…those are just my personal thoughts and I haven’t posted anything  controversial on my blog in a while.

late 17th century (as an adjective): from earlier neger, from French nègre, from Spanish negro ‘black’ (see Negro).

A Gem of a Deal

Went to the flea market with my aunt and uncle this past Sunday and I found the best deal. I have been looking for shelves to display my gemstones on, but could not find a resonably priced one. But alas, I found a beauty.

Got this little baby at the low price of $10.00 and it looks lovely directly in front of my desk. I can enjoy the beauty and the energy as I work. Woohoo!

Love Saves Lives

desktop-1418309390I have been in a bit of a funk lately. So many things I used to enjoy just aren’t working for me right now. I think it is because of the extremely intense waves of darkness and negativity swarming around nearly everyone.

I spend a lot of time on Facebook, it is how I keep in touch with my friends and family, and it is how I find things to laugh about and smile. But ever since the campaigning started, there has been a drastic decline in positive and funny posts. Everyone is so angry.

And the violence, both physical and emotion. The fiasco with Ellen DeGeneres and alleged racism. Really? Pleeease!

And don’t get me started on the olympics. The racism, the sexism, the flagrant disrespect for the feelings of others. It isn’t about the sports any more, its all about sensationalizing the bad things that happen. The Phelps-Ledecky headline. The vicious Brazillian spectators who thought/think it is all right to boo whoever they choose…Renaud Lavillenie..come on, really? How little you must be to boo and hiss in such a dramatic venue as to make a grown man cry while being watched by the entire world. You nasty little pissants! Sorry, but that is just evil.

I want my world back. I want to feel the love of my friends and family. I KNOW for a fact that love makes a difference. It saves lives. It saved mine.

Look at the homeless victims in Louisiana. It seems like Mother Nature has it out for the Cajun state and I just want to slap her in the head and tell her to leave those people alone. Same with the people in Pakistan. They have endured months of rain and what little so many had has been washed away.

All of those people need to know they are loved and supported. Let’s stop fueling the hate and negativity by ignoring the stupid media antics and focus on sharing our love and healing energy with people who need it the most. It’s our love that will save those people in need. Don’t close your heart or your sense of giving off to those in need. Give what yoou can, when you can. Do what you can, when you can.use-your-voice-for-kindnessyour-ears-for-compassionyou-hands-for-charityyour-mind-for-truthand-your-heart-for-love-kindness-quote

We’ve got to put love back into the equation or we are all doomed. I don’t want to be doomed. I want to see joy and I want to see peace, and more than anything, I don’t want there to be so many people in need, physically or emotionally. I want to love and I want to be loved.
