My Father’s Father’s Father’s Father’s Father

Me and my (half) sister Genie (Eugenia Jones).

That will get your head to spinning won’t it. Having grown up a Jones, I always considered myself average. I have since learned that I am anything but average. I am so unique it is often frightening, for me and for those around me. LOL And that is not always a good thing.

When I began tracing my roots, I started on my maternal side because there was tons more info readily available and it made the work so much . . . easier. As is the case with most things in my life, I learned that easy isn’t always the best or the most interesting. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Imagination is in fact what I am working off of right now. I posted a small snippett about father’s heritage, it isn’t much.

Pedigree Chart for Karen Louise JonesThe older I get, the more I wish I’d had the opportunity to know my dad’s family. My mom moved me away when I was quite little and I never had that chance. I have half-siblings I know nothing about. They have children. I have cousins galore, but don’t know any of them. It may sound dorky, but I long for that connection. I know there are people out there who share my DNA, I just don’t know how to find them.

You can click on the sheet I have attached to see just how little I have found on my father’s family. If you can offer any help or insight into this, I really would love to hear from you. Don’t be shy. I am an awesome cousin!

Is it asking too much to know where my people came from and what they were like?
